Our Signature Sports Experience for family, friends and organisations in the beautiful grounds of FVBCC in Victoria Park, Finchley
An afternoon of fun, games and laughter on the greens
Whether you are a family, a group of friends, a team or a TV production company, we would love to tailor a fun and engaging Signature Sports Experience.
For many years, we at FVBCC have been sharing our wonderful facilities with groups of friends, teams and companies. Our members enjoy sharing the games they love with you and showing you how to play them and facilitating you having fun and learning new skills.
We are unique that we can host you bowls and croquet, as well as petanque and table tennis, all in one venue.
We have hosted birthday parties, and team events for Tesco’s and Barnet Education and Learning
Most recently we were proud to host The Real Housewives of Potomac with a cast and crew of 30 in June 2026
We delivered them our Signature Sports Experience teaching them bowls and croquet and gave them a quintessentially British experience with Pimms, strawberries and cream.
We offer complete access to club facilities and experienced members to coach and teach and facilitate you playing bowls, croquet and pétanque, all in the beautiful setting of our club grounds.
We can usually offer these events on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, when our own members are not playing. We can occasionally offer mornings too and occasionally on Saturday evenings from 5-30. Other evenings might be possible.
We can handle a maximum of around 70 people.
A typical FVBCC Signature Sports Experience consists of the following:
- 45 minutes of lawn bowls with club members teaching and coaching you
You start with bowls — simple to learn, surprisingly addictive. The weight of the ball, the satisfying curve, the cheers when someone lands close to the jack. It’s competitive in the gentlest possible way, and it gets everyone talking.
- 45 minutes of croquet with club members teaching and coaching you
Then croquet: strategic, mischievous, and full of personality. Alliances form, tactics emerge, and suddenly the quiet one becomes the team’s secret weapon. It’s impossible not to laugh.
- 45 minutes of pétanque play with club members teaching and coaching you
Under the shade of the trees, pétanque slows the pace. The metallic ring of the boules, the easy rhythm of the game, the relaxed conversations — it’s the perfect moment for teams to bond without trying.
- Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits during the three hours
And we can tailor it for you.

Accessibility
We are an eight minute walk from West Finchley tube station, ten minutes from Finchley Central, and busses stop right outside the club.
We also have parking for up to 20 vehicles, depending on size of vehicle.
