NOTES FOR NEW MEMBERS
The Club constitution can be seen on the Club website (fvbcc.com) and is available for inspection in the clubhouse.
FVBCC does not list the contact details of members in the Club booklet but does make available separate WhatsApp sites to enable members to contact each other to arrange games. Please ask one of the Club’s management team members to arrange access to these groups. Club notices and other information will normally be sent out by blind copy email.
The Club is registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and donations are welcome.
FVBCC does not ask for payment from playing members for each visit to the club in the playing season.
Members are asked to sign in on each visit to the Club.
When on the greens, please wear flat-soled shoes. FVBCC does not operate a dress code for internal matches but does adopt greys or whites for bowls and croquet matches against other clubs. Club shirts are available for those who represent FVBCC in matches against other clubs.
Bowls and mallets can be borrowed by new members but once familiar with the right size and weight of equipment members are encouraged to acquire their own for personal use. Lockers are available in the clubhouse.
FVBCC maintains an all-year-round programme of events for which appropriate charges may be made.
FVBCC also has facilities for playing table tennis and pétanque (boules) and your membership gives you access to these at no extra charge.
Please help where you can and treat other members as you would wish be treated yourself.
We wish you a wonderful year of play and enjoyment of the club, its facilities and other members.
